The Barat Tioman – Resort Paling Cool Pilihan Cosmo

Perjalanan penuh dramatik mengambil masa 5 jam dari Kuala Lumpur ke jeti Mersing, Johor. Itupun kerana Cosmo memilih untuk memandu dan memulakan perjalanan lewat malam.


Jalan gelap tanpa cahaya lampu tiang memang menyeramkan sebelum kami tiba di jeti seawal jam enam pagi. Ini semua kerana Cosmo mahu rasai sendiri pengalaman menginap di resort baru di Kampung Juara, Pulau Tioman. Tambahan pula TIOMAN SurFestival 2017 anjuran Tioman Cabana dengan kerjasama Rip Curl Malaysia diadakan berhadapan dengan resort yang Cosmo ‘bakal’ menginap ketika itu – The Barat Tioman.

Perjalanan dari jeti ke Pulau Tioman mengambil masa dua jam menaiki feri. Kemudian Cosmo diberitahu yang resort The Barat agak terpencil jadi kedai runcit atau serbaneka agak jauh ke depan. Terus Cosmo borong segala makanan dan minuma ringan yang harganya sangat murah, di The Zon, kedai bebas cukai berhampiran jeti.

Untuk menuju ke The Barat, kamu harus menaiki pacuan empat roda yang disediakan oleh resort dan paling mengujakan, perjalanan hampir 30 minit itu dikelilingi oleh hutan menghijau dan laluan berbukit yang hanya boleh dinaiki oleh kereta pacuan empat roda.

Setibanya di penginapan tersebut, Cosmo terpukau dengan lautan luas membiru berhadapan dengan lobi The Barat Tioman.

Sesuai untuk kamu yang merancang berbulan madu, The Barat sedikit terpencil namun pantainya adalah tumpuan si peluncur ombak dari penduduk tempatan.

Menurut pemilik penginapan, Dato’ Lee Boon Han, The Barat bakal dipenuhi dengan pelbagai aktiviti pantai dan ia masih dalam peringkat menambahbaik kemudahan dan infrasktruktur.

Cosmo sukakan suasana pantainya yang redup dan bersih tanpa sebarang sampah sarap. Markah penuh untuk pengurus resort yang begitu menjaga kebersihan penginapan. Kamu juga boleh melawat Juara Turtle Sanctuary Project yang hanya beberapa langkah bersebelahan resort.

Suasana lobi dan kafe berada di satu aras yang sama dan mampu menampung sehingga 230 tetamu di restoran dalam satu masa.

Bersih dan kemas, ia juga mempunyai aras kedua iaitu Sky Bar dimana kamu boleh menikmati makan malam dengan iringan muzik secara langsung, ditambah dengan angin malam yang mengasyikkan.

Kolam renang dibina berhadapan dengan bilik juga adalah akses yang mudah jika kamu memilih untuk menginap di bilik tingkat bawah.

The Barat Tioman akan dibina dengan tiga peringkat dalam masa lima tahun ini. Fasa pertama telahpun siap Disember lalu dengan 52 buah bilik deluxe dan 4 villa di atas bukit dengan pemandangan laut. Harga promosi terkini untuk chalet bermula serendah RM199.

Antara kemudahan lain termasuk pusat spa, pusat sukan air dan menyelam juga ruang melepak yang cool dan besar.

Tioman SurFestival 2017 (12 – 14 Jan 2017)

Our very first event in our new home!

The Tioman SurFestival is an annual event organised by the Tioman Boardriders Event Management and fully supported by the Ministry of Tourism of the State of Pahang,  Tioman Development Authority and Tioman Boardriders Club.

This year at the Tioman SurFestival 2017, the Barat Tioman Beach Resort was given the honour to be the official resort and main sponsor of this unique event  which attracted both local and international surfers from around the world to ride the waves on Juara Beach right in front of our resort.  We were right smack where all the action and excitement happened!

Juara Beach was transformed into a surfing arena with colourful tents and banners, live music, watchtowers for judges and fans to have a better view of the surfers, medical and rescue support as well as facilities for participants to rinse off and have a dip in our swimming pool. Apart from the surfing competition, a host of other activities such as beach games were conducted.

A total of 103 surfers participated in 6 categories : Men Open, Women Open, BodyBoards, LongBoards, Masters and Grommets for children below the age of 15. The Tioman SurFestival is certainly poised to place Tioman Island as a surfing destination and a place to visit during the monsoon season. We, at the Barat Tioman Beach Resort hope to continue to support this exciting event in the future!

A Closing Ceremony was held at the Barat Tioman Beach Resort where prizes were given away to winners and everyone partied to live band music till the wee hours of the night. It was a fitting end to a successful event and everyone is looking forward to the Tioman SurFestival 2018!
